Panasonic PT60LC14 Bare Lamp TY-LA1000

Great price for lamp3

Received the Panasonic lamp very quickly and without damage; however when I order another one I will order it with the housing. If my brother had not been here to take the existing housing apart (which was sort of a pain) and make some adjustments to it I would have probably never been able to install it myself. This lamp was made just a little bit different from the one that was in the existing housing had to rearrange the wires and had to get a specific size nut to fit. As stated the price was good but the aggravation of removing the old lamp and getting the new one in place is not something I would want to have to tackle by myself. If I had gotten the lamp with the housing it would have been a simple matter of removing one screw and inserting the new housing with lamp already installed.

One other item of interest...whenever it's time for the lamp to be replaced you get a message box on your TV screen stating that it's time to change the lamp and the message also says to "reset the clock" for the lamp. The Panasonic instruction manual states that the instructions to reset the lamp are provided with the new lamp...I did not find this to be the case. There were no instructions inside the box telling me how to reset the clock for the lamp so right now every time I turn the TV on I have to use the TV remote to punch the EXIT button so the message will disappear off the screen...not a huge thing but it is aggravating to have to do it every time you turn the TV on so I'm just wondering what happened to the instructions...Does Amazon not provide that when you purchase a product like this from them? Is this something that only Panasonic will provide? Just curious.More detail ...
